The Story Behind Max Alexander
The Max Alexander Foundation was created in memory of Max Alexander, aka Michael Drelich. The mission of the Max Alexander Foundation is to identify, cultivate and support educational institutions and individuals that will empower young people to realize their potential . Happy Dollie’s in Livingstone, Africa is our first such endeavor.
Max was a renown figure in the worlds of comedy and entertainment, and left an indelible impression on all those who were lucky enough to enter his orbit. He worked alongside many Hollywood greats, and performed on Jay Leno, Johnny Carson, and Conan O’Brian’s late night shows. Max appeared on Best of Improv and Comedy Greats, and performed regularly for thousands in Las Vegas.
Most importantly, Max was positive, upbeat, and his acts of kindness and friendship were extraordinary. Max dedicated his remarkable life to bringing light and laughter to everyone in his orbit. He was an original.
Max didn’t have children of his own, but he loved making them smile and laugh whenever he could. The Happy Dollies school is dedicated to making school an experience of joy for its children. Max would have loved this project.
